Way to go waje...Tell them

I have been away for a while, been very busy.  I've missed being here...trying to catch up

I don't tweet so much but I enjoy reading through people's tweets when I have the time, I was waiting to see someone this afternoon so I took the chance to look through my timeline. Na so my eye jam waje's tweet. Am sure you know "Waje" (Aituaje Iruobe) the incredible Nigerian songstress.

You see, I love this chic, lovely voice, beautiful stature #No homo, but apparently people have been complaining that she is fat, see me see gbege ooo. I had to go look for her picture and see the definition of fat. People sha,  must all artistes be lepa?

Waje@ wizkid's album launch

I loved her answer that's why I'm writing about it ......"hey guys sorry i haven't been active,work has been crazy,i also apologize for being FAT as some of u call it, i love music and dats why i am here. my next life i will tell God to make me appealing to u but for now i LOVE ME TOO MUCH" (http://www.tweetdeck.com/twitter/Wajemusik/~ZHDGw)

She was even nice, apologizing ?? Well I understand that part, she has to be nice to her fans *smiles* If they can call waje fat, then I'm super fat..lol. People should go and sit down joor. I loved your response waje, as long as you love yourself and you are healthy the rest na story.

  6. People will always Hate...
    Even if she was slim, they'll say she's too skinny

    Even if a girl is perfect, they'll ask whether she is married;
    If she has husband, the next question is 'no kids?'
    If she born sef...no boys???
    etc etc
    *sigh*

  8. I don't know how these pics do it, but she is actually big. I watched the recent MBGN she sang at and she was big.
    Niways, I don't think it is bad to be big, small, thin or fat. All that matters is great carrige. I don't think she should apologise at all

  11. I think she looks amazing.

    Some people are really unhappy with themselves and the way they look and so sometimes they project that unto others. Not everyone has to be skinny. She's clearly not obese and she looks healthy. Plus she's very talented.

    I hink you raised an important point with this post.

  13. @ilola: I didn't watch the MBGN so I cant really say anything about that...

    I totally agree with you on this: whether you are short, fat, thin or whatever good carriage is very important, I mean I've seen very slim people that don't carry themselves well

    @Omoregee:Lol, I could spare you some flesh o

    @Ibhade:I tire o my sistah

    @Mimi B: I think she looks amazing too,I don't know if we will ever be rid of unhappy people trying to put others down...na wa jare and yea I think being in health is the utmost

    @BNSC: Good answer right? finally I updated o, lol

    @All: Thanks for your time...cheers!

  15. Blessings.....
    Always there will be negative peckers, ones who will try to peck away at your self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. With all the crisis in the world they are focused on her dress size? Please those people need to get a LIFE ALREADY!

    Hope all is well with you, have a fabulous week.

    @Rhapsody B: "With all the crisis in the world they are focused on her dress size?" I like that...

    am very well too, thanks and have a fabulous week yourself, Cheers!

    @MsJB: I'm asking the same questions my dear, "Must everybody be skinny?" What happened to the "variety is the spice of life" quote?..hmmm

  19. On word, most people are generally unhappy with their lives that they look for faults in the lives of others.

    I don't listen to her music, but I must say she is fabulous...Beyonce is not skinny, when did we start copying oyinbo people.

  20. I am still trying to understand people's definition of the word "FAT". Abeg, na cause to be FAT? Except when a person is obese, I do not see where the problem lies!

    From the pictures, this babe is not fat jo! She can fit comfortably into a size 12 dress. Any person who can fit into that sort of mini gown/skirt and still look fabulous is not fat! She does not even have the "christian mother" arm...LOL!

  21. @'Lara:Abi o..please ask them people o

    @Deel: Yea, I think we need to redefine the meaning of the word fat..lol @ "christian mother"

    Thanks for dropping by

  22. Each to his own jor. Fat, obese, na dem sabi. Some people need glasses if they think she is fat. I don't know where all this "I must look like bonga fish" madness is coming from. When we were in our twenties, curves were celebrated and abos (booties) were all the rage. Now 'lepa' is the order of the day. Na wa o. Thanks for inspiring the topic of my next post :) :)
