Life is a journey
Life they say is a journey, It took me a while to really understand the saying though....life is a journey and there's nothing as sad as being alive and not enjoying the journey.
I was a perfect example of someone that wasted so much time brooding and living life without any form of enjoyment. I just didnt know how to enjoy where I was on the way to where I was going.
Life like a trip has a begining and an end, with so much landmarks we are supposed to stop-by to enjoy the scenery before we continue our journey. The truth about life is we all are heading somewhere and we must make a conscious effort to enjoy the journey as we travel along. We must learn to seek the next phase of life or journey without despising or belittling the state in which we currently find ourselves.
I remember doing a post sometime last year and complaining about how I hated my work environment and all that. I am glad I did more than complain, I'm happy I made friends with my fellow colleagues because all of us at that office at that time are no more together and the only thing that binds us together now is the friendship we learnt to share.
Here I am still learning, I am learning to enjoy not just my work or accomplishment but I am also learning to enjoy my ride to work and back everyday. I am learning not to be so frustrated about the things that go wrong in my life and enjoy "the here and now" whatever the situation might be.
I am learning to enjoy every aspect of my life, my home, my relationship, my job, my family, my friends. All it takes to fully enjoy life to the fullest is a DECISION.I hope you make that decision today, and I also hope you enjoy the scenery as you travel along life's path.
BON VOYAGE FRIENDS!!!
Hmmm. I wish you the best in this journey of life. I should learn to enjoy myself too.
ReplyDeleteLearning to enjoy the little things in life whilst we still can

Very important indeed to try to enjoy life as we live. All the best to you too.
ReplyDeleteTrust me Hun I have been there also; not enjoying life. It takes the grace of God to remember to breathe and enjoy each waking moment as much as we enjoy the great triumphs also.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you realised that you have to enjoy the moment and appreciate what you have, this post is really inspiring.
ReplyDeleteYes oh that's what we should all do in life, enjoy life! nobody is promised tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMy goal in life now is just to be happy. Anything that'd make me happy is what I'd do, of course with sense and in a Godly way. Good luck with your journey dear!
I think this is a realization that we all come to in our own time. Life is too short not to enjoy it as much as possible :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your journey. Keep making more friends:)
ReplyDeleteSometimes because we are confused about where our destination should be, we tend to think we are not already on the way and should enjoy the landmarks as we pass by. Life is a journey, irrespective of the means of transportation, the comfort or challenges, we should try to take notes and enjoy. This post spoke to me.

ReplyDeleteIt is the lessons within the journey that is precious. It is why you learn to really appreciate where you are and what it took for you to get there.
May you always get the lesson incased in the journey.
stay blessed.

ReplyDeleteAmen to your prayers!
Here's a toast to learning to smell the roses on the way.
ReplyDeleteYour resolve is a smart one.If we spend most of our time complaining about the things that aren't working,we'd miss the beauties of life.
ReplyDeleteI am on the longest journey of my life, to discover ME. I have l also learned to embrace all the stops along the ways. Though i may not like the different streets, roads life has taken me thru i have come to appreciate them afterwards.
ReplyDeleteDayor life is full of narrow way and broad path, potholes and bumpy rides. Enjoy them all but never forever the life lessons you picked up along the road.
Bon voyage!
