Its the small joys...


1.    Getting out of bed every morning strong and healthy...knowing GOD kept me

2.    Watching the sun set and staring at the sky...the stars..the moon, its beauty!

3.    Hugging someone I love

4.    Taking a tall glass of chilled water with a dash of lemon and a pinch of sugar when I come in from the sun...the satisfaction hmmm

5.    Seeing an old friend and picking up where we left...somethings just don't change

6.    Road trips with or without company

7.    Finding money in an old bag/ pocket of a jeans just at the right time...when I'm low on cash

8.    Reading a good book to the last page, discovering and reading blogs, write- ups, poems etc

9.    Lying in bed till whenever on a Saturday

10.  Laughing so hard after making a fool of myself

11.  Seeing smiles on the faces of people that matter to me

12.  The taste of chocolate on my lips, double hmmm


This seemingly little things give me "the small joys". Let's hear yours.

P.S: I'm a sucker for scenery/destinations/travel/tourist sites, I have a whole lot of stuff on them, thinking I should post some of them here instead of opening a new blog for that. What do you think friends?

    Getting unexpected calls from friends, Finding money in an old bag/ pocket of a jeans just at the right time, hanging out with friends..the little joys of life makes my world awesome.

      mine includes most of the things on the list and spending quality time with the people i love.

      wow!!!!...its like we think alike...i wanted to select some numbers but...#shakes head#...i think those could be my small joys too..that cash thing in clothes or books when broke ehnn!!!...a big leap of Joy!!...LOL

      hugging someone i LOVE!!!!...its a wonderful feeling

    Knowing God kept me, Picking up where we left off, road trips with or without company, being a weist on saturdays and a cup or two or three of cooooold orange juice, goodness!

    God is awesome, the joy from little things are usually the deepest.

      By the way, i've been thinking of putting up stuff from my travels too but haven't decided. Anyway, i think you should either put it up here or on another tab on your blog then put up a link to it whenever you update, eitherway, i doubt a new blog is necessary

    The list above pretty much does it for me, plus finding out i did ok in an exam i almost lost hope on! I love to travel too!

    These are no small joys, D1. In fact, there are no small joys. If only we'd sit down and count all our blessings, we'd know God is indeed very merciful. Many seek to experiences these "small joys" but are not privileged.

    I am grateful for these things too. I haven't tried water with lemon and a pinch of sugar though. Why not just go for lemonade?

    Rather than spreading yourself too thin, I think you should share the new stuff here.

    Those little things matter to me too.
    Hearing something pleasant about myself (from a sincere heart sha cos i'm usually suspicious of compliments) for instance, hearing my niece tell me to "you're amazing"

    Staring at pictures or videos of the ones i love

    Getting help from total strangers

    Getting hugs

    Spending time with those i adore

    OMG You should travel to Mnarani( http://mnarani.co.za) It's just WOWWWWWWWWWWWW! THat's where I am at the moment. Though its the wrongest place to be without your second half. I made that mistake. :( ....*now searching for second half to redo this experience*
