He is a Poet and a Half...

I am not a "writer", I might never be. Writing for me is more of an outlet than an art but I hope someday I can really perfect this art called writing and then do something really cool with it. Lol

I love poems, poems are a special kind of literature, I adore poets.  I follow the works of great poets and I always say, the mind of a poet is very very x^%$#&. You know how they mean something totally different from what you understood from the poem? I follow some really cool ones and I should post some of their works here sometimes soon.  So I met some dude yesterday, he said writing came to him like a flood three years ago and he's been writing ever since . He said he has over 500,000 poems…huh? I said "50,000?" He replies "No, I mean half a million poems" Duh! I'm still surprised, its so unbelievable and I am tempted to ask him to show me the 500,000 poems. Should I ask? Lol. Anyway, he blogs at http://iampapyrus.blogspot.com . Sisi yemmie tweeted about time management today, she said she really needs to figure it out…I should let her know, she needs to lecture me when she does. I totally suck at managing my time. Here's how it works: I have a project I am working on, and my life stops. I mean the other aspects of my life gets paused till I am done with the project. I have tried to remedy this and I still struggle…hmm.  Now I use my calendar/reminder  a lot- I have to be reminded of silly things like "reply abc's message" "call xyz" "visit blogsville" "do prof's assignment" "buy gari and groundnut" "see a movie this week" and some sillier ones I can't even write here. I'm really trying to find a balance between work, church, school, family and friends…God help your daughter! Can we really find a balance? Someone I know thinks we can't.

I met a couple of bloggers in the last few months. I met Lahrah in an event I project managed and she recognised me.  Yay she did! I was tooooo surprised. See picture below:

There was also a meet up for bloggers some few weeks back. I met Sisi yemmie, Lara, Seyi Taylor, In Fashion Rehab and Prince Laj. Ain't I balling tight? Unfortunately I don’t have pictures but you can see some on Sisi Yemmie's  blog here.

So yea, that's the end of this post or whatever it is you want to call it. And yes I titled it " a poet and a half " because I think Israel is a poet and a half or ... never mind.
