Happy Birthday To Me! I am Three Today!

Like everyone else, I love happily ever afters even though I know our lives are not Hollywood movies and we don’t always have happy endings in situations we find ourselves. I love day dreaming about happily ever afters, blame the M&Bs I read in my growing years.

As much as I love happy endings, I love new beginnings more, new opportunities…a new chance to start over…new days…new seasons…a new lease of life. I love fresh starts and it’s something I want for a birthday gift. A fresh start in some areas of my life.

I had hoped by the beginning of this New Year that I would be in a totally different place from where I am right now. I can't boast of having all the wonderful experiences I had desired to have in the last 365 days but I have had some very wonderful experiences and moments, very important ones at that and I am mega grateful to God. Each of those experiences and moments are worth every ounce of the happiness in my heart.

ASUU won’t let me be great, I am not married like I hoped I would be, I don’t have my dream car yet, I can’t boast of millions in my bank account….but I can boast of more beautiful things that God did for me this year. Better things came along, the past year was one of self- discovery for me- I found out some pretty interesting things about myself. I handled projects I would never have dreamt of being a part of (that in itself is the answer to prayers), I am threading a new career path, I have found a passion for life that continues to grow everyday (it’s beautiful) and No I was not very active in blogsville. :)

So yea, cheers to a fresh start. And happy birthday to my blog. She clocked three today!
